The newest edition to the Anastasia Beverly Hills highlighter family is the Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit! I wasn’t initially totally sold on the palette as I thought the shades wouldn’t work well with my light skin tone – but after seeing some ‘real life’ swatches on some of my favorite beauty Instagrammers, I knew I could make it work!!
“Get a smooth, even glow that lasts with the Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit. Each highlighter has an ultra-fine formula that won’t leave behind shimmer particles. Just layer these shades together or wear them separately on your face, eyes, and body. For even more glow, apply them with a damp makeup brush.”
Does this new glow kit hold up to my high expectations?! Let’s see!!
THE PACKAGING: I love the packaging. I adore the packaging. Housed in a sturdy cardboard PINK GLITTER palette ((matching sleeve included)). The six shades are distributed evenly on the bottom portion of the palette – no mirror.
Kitty Kat – pink with platinum shimmer
Forever Young – pink pearl with silver shimmer
Daydream – coral with white gold shimmer
Forever Lit – platinum with lavender shimmer
Glo Getter – champagne with rose shimmer
143 – rose gold with bronze shimmer
THE FORMULA: I find the formula of this palette to be on par with Anastasia’s other glow kits. I had heard reviews that the shades had intense glitter particles that transferred to the skin – this is something I didn’t experience AT ALL! The shades are smooth, highly pigmented/reflective, and blendable – exactly what you would expect from Anastasia highlighters! I’ve applied them with a fan brush, a stiff highlighter brush, and a soft highlighter brush and was pleased with each method. On a softer highlighter brush ((I personally use the Wayne Goss Air Brush)) you will see the glitter particles on the brush, but once applied on the skin, the shade color transfers beautifully!
THE PRICE: $40.00 and can be purchased HERE
FINAL THOUGHTS: At first glance, the shades in this palette appear to be a little disconnected. But after playing with the shades, I can see exactly where Nicole was going with this glow kit – the shades are fun, not seen everywhere, and have unique reflective pairings! The only shade I won’t use frequently is Daydream – the coral shade, but it may be a pretty blush/blush topper when using a light hand. I think this is the PERFECT addition to the Glow Kit family and will be beautiful on all skin tones!!
*Top to Bottom – Kitty Kat, Forever Young, Daydream, Forever Lit, Glo Getter, 143*
**Glo Getter and 143 appear more golden in the swatches but they definitely match my above shade descriptions**
